Hi Gibran,
In looking at your output, the files contents are identical BUT, the timestamp
appended to each of the lines is different for each file. I believe this may
be the cause of the failure. I don't know why the timestamp is included in the
comparison. I will file a bug.

In order to get around this error, I'd like you to use the rsync command to
synchronize the timestamps on the agent systems to match the on on your server.

from the server as root: rsync -a ssh /etc/fossology/Hosts.conf
r...@clear6:/etc/fossology/Hosts.conf<mailto:r...@clear6:/etc/fossology/Hosts.conf>
                                     rsync -a ssh /etc/fossology/Hosts.conf
r...@clear4:/etc/fossology/Hosts.conf<mailto:r...@clear4:/etc/fossology/Hosts.conf>

After syncing the files, see if the selftest passes.
Mary

Hello Gibran,
I'm stumped!
I just ran the selftest command on my server & 2 agents to see what the output
should look like. All three came back with this result:

Repository: Depth.conf is 3
Repository: griphook * 00 7f # Mon Nov 23 17:25:45 2009
Repository: pigwidgeon * 80 ff # Mon Nov 23 17:25:45 2009

Please run the following commands on your server and the two failing agent
systems and send me the resulting files (out.server, out.clear6, out.clear4):

On the server: echo 'test'|/usr/lib/fossology/agents/selftest -sg >out.server
On clear6: echo 'test'|/usr/lib/fossology/agents/selftest -sg
>out.clear6
On clear4: echo 'test'|/usr/lib/fossology/agents/selftest -sg
>out.clear4
