What's more, when that language is the one with the largest Wikipedia, you're likely to find the most comprehensive article of any language. Pretty much every time I see a non-Anglophone Wikimedian look something up on Wikipedia, though, they look it up in their native language first, then look for a link to the same article on enwiki (where there's probably a bigger article by virtue of sheer size) or another language they speak (for regional topics; e.g. a Flemish speaker checking frwiki for information on a city in Belgium).
