Yes I did it from the console. first I am loggin in on the fox board via ssh. Yes, then I try to do that on the console. there is gpg 1.4.2 already on the foxboard, but when I try to use this, then the gpg process on the foxboard just stops after telling me the following: "gpg (GnuPG) 1.4.2; Copyright (C) 2005 Free Software Foundation, Inc. This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions. See the file COPYING for details. " waiting for any more actions were pointless, I had to use crtl+c. i.e. gpg 1.4.2 did not terminate. afterwards I crosscompiled gpg 1.4.7 and put that on the fox. but when I tried to use that version of gpg he was not able to open /dev/tty and terminates. I tried to use your advice and logged in via telnet, but unfortunately that doesn't change anything.
