This has *nothing* to do with "sales talk". It's just a matter of reading the data sheets of the components. You're confusing two different chips here. One is a "weird" I2C device (DS1302) for which the FoxBoard *is* prepared (many other people are using it without any problems), the other one seems to be a "regular" I2C device. It's you who chose to connect a DS1307 device to a driver suited for the DS1302 chip. Which is not at all the same indeed! So, AcmeSystems can't help you made a wrong choice... Best rgds, --Geert
