as for other points (for example "with" use/misuse) ... for me -Fu
recursive, "with" statement and others may be usefull tools ... not for
you! 

there no absolute answer! 

may be other people don't do the same
kind of job I do, or you do. may they they don't work the same way I do,
or you do!
