It's the other way around. What Art was warning you about is that some printer drivers will report to your PC the fonts that are installed on the physical printer, and the PC will treat those fonts as if they are installed on the PC -- except of course, such fonts cannot be embedded in a PDF. Setting Acrobat as your default printer eliminates the possibility of problems from that source.
