Art, Why do you suggest to upgrading Acrobat to X? I'm using FrameMaker 7.2 and looking to upgrade to FrameMaker 10 for 64-bit support. I use Acrobat 7.0 Professional for sending commenting-enabled PDF files made from FrameMaker source files out for review. My understanding of Frame 10 is that you can created commenting-enabled PDF files. Do I need Acrobat X?
Thanks, Deanna. ________________________________________ From: framers-boun...@lists.frameusers.com [framers-boun...@lists.frameusers.com] On Behalf Of Art Campbell [art.campb...@gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, August 13, 2011 6:29 AM To: visualbis...@comcast.net; framers@lists.frameusers.com Subject: Re: Which FMaker version? I'd go a little further. If you're in production and want the fewest problems, go with the current release, 10. You really don't have a choice, but the good news is that it's built to run well on W7 (and does, most of the time), and has a number of tools and features that make writing life easier. DO NOT try to cut a corner and skip upgrading Acrobat (assuming you use the full version) to X. Do look into FM's new licensing / maintenance / upgrade program...
