Hi, I don't actually know. I rarely import PDF into anything. I see PDF as a destination format, so I would import the file from which the PDF is created, be it EPS, png, or what have you.
I guess one use case might be to show a form or something. In that case I would import the PDF because importing Word, et al., would not have the desired effect. However, in that case, I might be stuffing a 8.5*11 inch image into my 6-inchtext column, so I would expect the screen display to reflect that downsizing and omission of pixels.
