I don’t know see what is “forcing” anyone to do anything. I still have some old machines stowed away that can run old systems and old programs if I want to. (Actually haven’t wanted to for the past year at least.) I have some old clothes in my closet that I don’t wear and should probably get rid of too. I’ll probably never wear my upper Midwest winter parka again now that I live in Oregon and don’t go into the mountains in the winter. I do get a nostalgia for swapping floppies and that funny sound of starting a dialup connection, though.
