Charlie, I have my audio playing by using artsd, using speakers which connect directly to my PC via optical (I don't use direct wired connections, only optical or spdif). I can't seem to get any audio out of audacious, so I looked into the preferences, and couldn't see any option to connect via artsd. OK, I'm willing to change here if I must (not anxious, because artsd has so far connected perfectly to everything else) but what driver would you recommend? Jack? Or maybe esound? I looked over jack, and was a little surprised to find not one word in that port referring to how to set up rc.conf to autostart it, couldn't even find something in /usr/local/etc/rc.d for it. How's jack start up? I haven't looked at esound yet. I've got a X11 problem too, but I figured that was outside the stuff you've been helping me on, so I asked that on another list. > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-chat@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-chat > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-chat-unsubscr...@freebsd.org" _______________________________________________ freebsd-chat@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-chat To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-chat-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
