Yep!  You can even make one > 1.44MB and gzip it first (but remember
to call it /kernel.gz or the loader won't be smart enough to un-gzip
it).  As long as the kernel is compiled with options MFS_ROOT and
options MFS, it will know to look for the mfsroot image in memory
(which the kern.flp's loader.rc will also ask for).
