The disadvantages of web fora include: * I can't read things in my very efficient email client. Related: * I have to compose my replies in a web browser edit window. * I need to visit periodically and hope that the site makes it possible for me to attend to unread messages without struggling. I think wikis are useful. I think web fora exist because folks haven't had sufficient exposure to email to make the advantages clear.
