It has been working for me for years (since 4.something).
this means that you need to do the NAT before you do the FWD.
As he was talking about PPPoE - I would either use a device like the
Level-One FBR-4000 or do the PPPoE on the FreeBSD router itself and
put NAT into the ppp setup.
