Thanks for the info Manfred. FWIW as further clarification, I did have the
modules loaded and linprocfs "mounted"

 2    3 0xc0c0f000 28718    linux.ko
 7    1 0xc5a5c000 7000     linprocfs.ko

linprocfs             4.0K    4.0K      0B   100%    /usr/compat/linux/proc

And did a full "make clean" before the make. The ports tree was CVSup'ed just
this afternoon. The 7.0-CURRENT kernel built Jun 20 19:45:59 MST 2007 with
sources CVSup'ed about 45 minutes prior to that, so everything is pretty darn
"up to date." If you do try to rebuild tonight can you post something on the
outcome? Thank you,
