there is no such package bash. there's only bash-someversionofbashport

for example bash-3.1.16

get a look at tp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-6.1-release/Latest/ to see what version of bash is available

- And there is no ports tree installed.. ie /usr/ports does not exist.
- I can ping ftp.freebsd.org
- I can also ftp>open ftp.freebsd.org

Any thoughts on trouble shooting this would be appreciated.
