Oh, I regret this. GPT partitions seem to me to be much more powerful than the old MBR. Manpage of bsdlabel(8) tells us that it can hold 8 entries in the partitioning table. I'm not quite sure, but months ago I read something about a change/patch allowing up to 26 entries (limitation to the alphabet). Days ago I installed a fresh new FreeBSD 8 on a new harddisk to get rid of some legacy geometry errors.
