I'd say, if the logo is hard to cope with for some, then they may be comforted in something of a far more importance than the logo - FreeBSD bottom line is "power to serve" - a very Christian concept, though unfortunately often forgotten. :) Add reliability, openness and a friendly followers on top of that and you have got a very attractive package that would be hard to beat.
