You haven't provided an error message as to what happens when you try to cvsup; what happens when you try? Oh, it's absolutely certain that you could recover in other ways, but it also might be the case that doing a clean reinstall is faster than any of these alternatives. -- -Chuck Chuck, sorry about the lack of information. Here's the dilly-oh. I've got a FreeBSD 5.2 system. I've figured out that cvsup doesn't work because nslookup doesn't exist on the system. I figure I could just copy the binary from my 4.9 system and try from there. I use the RELENG_5_2 tag for CVSUP. I'm thinking this is wrong. Bah. In the mean time, I'm going to try copying the nslookup exec from my 4.9 laptop and see if I can't get cvsup to work like that. Dig works just fine, which is why I think this method could work. If all else fails, I'll just start a rebuild tonight.
