I know everyone has their own way. For now, I am doing it the following way. I just want to know whether there is any reason I shouldn't be doing it this way. In other words, by doing it this way is there a potential problem or error that my result?
First I run:
/usr/local/bin/cvsup -g -L 2 /root/cvsup/ports-supfile
My ports-supfile reads: *default host=cvsup10.us.FreeBSD.org *default base=/usr/local/etc/cvsup *default prefix=/usr *default release=cvs tag=. *default delete use-rel-suffix *default compress ports-all tag=.
Then I run:
portupgrade -a
That's it.
