You can do this using csup for example:-
cp /usr/share/examples/cvsup/stable-supfile
/usr/share/examples/cvsup/9.0-release-supfile
Edit the following to the relavent values
*default host=CHANGE_THIS.FreeBSD.org
*default release=cvs tag=RELENG_9
e.g.
*default host=cvs.uk.FreeBSD.org
*default release=cvs tag=RELENG_9_0
and then run:
csup /usr/share/examples/cvsup/9.0-release-supfile
This will update your source tree in /usr/src to the 9.0 source.

Steve

Subject: SVN checkout
Hi All
Im just joined the list. Im not sure if this is the right place to ask
svn questions. I want to checkout the freebsd code to play with it a
bit. What should I do and which part of the repo should I checkout? I
want the 9.0 code.
Thx
Julian
