IMHO, not impossible, but creates alot more work then the disruption of a couple of weeks without commits would justify ... you have to bear in mind, once the freeze is lifted, all of the ports that had been modified on the 'branch' would then need to be re-modified on the regular branch, putting alot of work onto the shoulders of the maintainers themselves ... - ---- Marc G.
