In order to use atapicam, you must enable the pass? devices. My
devfs.conf contains:

perm xpt0 0660
perm pass0 0660
perm pass1 0660
The xpt0 is left over from other experiments. The pass? is required
to allow general access to use of growisofs.
Actually xpt is needed too :)
I always find ports/sysutils/k3b/pkg-message one of the most helpful
"howto" regarding atapicam and burning DVDs
