I like this latest patch. I did not find any error.

Thats is an interesting topic, let me a short answer here.
I agree that this ruleset makes it easier to defend your cities. It was on
purpose to try to make challenging to conquer cities to the AI.
Longturn players agree that it is hard to get a military victory, but still
possible.
In my opinion, the special ability of bombers to damage all the units in the
tile, allows to conquer any city, no matter how well defended.

Now I think about it, there is one important rule that I changed for v2.5 some
time ago, and would be important to remark in the help: Big land units do not
get defense bonuses from terrain.
So, people playing v2.4 could find it even harder to conquer cities defended
by mech inf.
