It would feel logical to me if amounts were like this (big to small) : Cibola treasure scout treasure conquer native settlements treasure chief gifts scout trinkets As things are now in freecol, starting in the south on america_large gives a big advantage because of the many aztec and inca cities there. On very Hard i often got 1500+ from them, especially the rain forest region tends to have lots of aztec cities.
