That's great! I also would like to see FreeCOM compileable with OpenWatcom. This will also allow it to be 386-optimized as well as allow compilation on a free compiler :).


It's a bit tricky because FreeCOM relies on library functions only used with Borland's compilers, which IMHO, is wrong. It should provide its own library routines so it's easy to use different compilers.

I believe that if somone is *really* motivated, this can be done.
- OpenWatcom has a lot of BC's DOS's functions, or one of the BC's functions to do the same. - Special BC's function are usialy very close to BIOS functions, and often documented as such.

But it would still be a lot of work...
