I don't really understand. Why is it impossible to change or remove
the line "Singlestepping (F8) is: OFF" from the menu which is shown
after you boot from the CD?

Even if that menu-text were hardcoded in config.sys, it should still
be possible to change that as FreeDOS is Open Source which means that
you can change *anything*.

Note also that I didn't ask anyone to remove the singlestepping
feature, only to remove the text from that menu (or mark is as
beta/buggy/unsupported/... in that menu).

I just think that version called "FreeDOS 1.0" should not have a buggy
feature in such a prominent place in its first menu, unless clearly
marked as beta/buggy/etc..
