So acting as a typical user, (even Not to "pick nits", but that's essentially 4 gigabytes, not 4096 kilobytes. Perhaps this has something to do with Virtual PC's dynamically sized drives? I can't try CHKDSK on my current Virtual PC installation of FreeDOS because I used a FAT32 disk, but I will try to do an installation with FAT16 sometime to verify this behavior.
