You free to write your own, another CD booter (which also may be
included into FreeDOS package). But you should remember, that DOS boots only
from diskette or primary partition of hard disk.
Booting from logical partition possible, but DOS anyway will assign C:
to active primary partition.
Booting from non-HD devices (more precisely: from devices, which can't
mimic as floppy or HD through BIOS), like CD-ROM, in DOS is impossible,
because requires special drivers inclusion into kernel.sys. Why? When you
may use external booter and don't complicate OS by non-native functions.
