Don't get me wrong, I'd _love_ a FOSS DESQview/X. I was very impressed by that. However, I recall a petition to Symantec to open-source it decades ago and at that time, the company said it had lost any source code. But GEOS is FOSS, it's pretty feature-complete, and it's a more featureful DOS GUI than FreeGEM or ViewMax. It does include some limited multitasking support, I believe. I tried the last released version on FreeDOS 1.3 and it does launch and run on FreeDOS but it's rather crashy for me. If it were up to me, I'd try to see if it could be made a bit more stable, and I'd drop GEM, Seal, Ozone and all the other shells and file managers in FreeDOS and include GEOS instead. -- Liam Proven ~ Profile: https://about.me/liamproven Email: lpro...@cix.co.uk ~ gMail/gTalk/FB: lpro...@gmail.com Twitter/LinkedIn: lproven ~ Skype: liamproven IoM: (+44) 7624 227612: UK: (+44) 7939-087884 Czech [+ WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal]: (+420) 702-829-053 _______________________________________________ Freedos-devel mailing list Freedos-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-devel
