Aitor remembers correctly -- he simply goes a few years further back than you and me. Before August '99 TC 2.01 couldn't be used. Watcom's been used as reference since Feb 2002. > it's great, if it compiles and even works with different compilers - > and fairly irrelevant. true. I see it mainly as a quality issue -- sometimes bugs show up with some compiler that do not with another one. Optimizing for anything else than OW is however simply a waste of time (and also mine since it takes a lot of time to filter patches for relevant stuff). Anyway I think I'm repeating myself again here. Let's not waste more bandwidth on the issue :) Bart ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Sleepycat Software Learn developer strategies Cisco, Motorola, Ericsson & Lucent use to deliver higher performing products faster, at low TCO. http://www.sleepycat.com/telcomwpreg.php?From=osdnemail3 _______________________________________________ Freedos-kernel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-kernel
