Follow-up Comment #8, sr #111312 (group freeipmi): Just to confirm, should I just run ipmi-sensors as is after applying the patch and recompiling, or should I run it in debug mode? I don't see any of those fprintfs in the output if I just run ipmi-sensors. After patching the file using patch -p1, I confirmed the target file is modified correctly, and then I did a distclean followed by make and make install, and confirmed the modified date of the binaries and libraries are updated, and ldd shows the binary is picking up the newly-compiled libraries, but nothing seems to have changed in the output.
