Oops. In view of this circumstance any other thoughts are useless -
the first character if it is from the extended set (ASCII>128) will be
rejected by Zope machinery if used to create an object ID.

No one can be used for Id/URL in Zope. And even if we patch Zope for
this, there will be a lot of unpredictable errors everywhere.

By what? It seems to me, the problem is solved if the folder will be
name not with the letter directly, but its number in ASCII table,
and/or the letter will be used for its title property, not Id.
