Hi. I'm in charge of an office database of patient information currently running on a proprietary system.
This is a single computer for a single doctor. I would like to: 1) move our current data to an open source database, that we can easily manage. 2) automate the task of printing callback labels, and birthday cards 3) implement an electronic appointment book (prefferbly one that can interact with the databse). 4) We also need to be able to send insurance claims to claims clearing houses using the modem (not the internet). My question: Is FreePM right for us? We are trying to move away from proprietary systems, but our current company can do all of the above. We have a unique window of opportunity to transfer the whole system this or next week, as we have a new computer. But once we start up with it we will probably be locked in for a long time (3-4 years say). So... We need to convert the database, I'm not sure how to find out what format the database is in. Does FreePM have an electronic appointment book and the abillity to send electronic claims? Thank you very much for your time and consideration. - Paul Rodriguez _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
