Hi I put the patch in /usr/local/src/freeradius ( where I compiled free radius). I compiled free radius in /usr/local/radius. then I did patch < filename it asked me for fiel name again and I gave it as freeradius-mod_sql_authenticate.patch then it gave me 15 time error of some hunk failed #1 all line 319 to humk failed #15 and then I did make and make install (in same dir /usr/local/src/freeradius ) but still it says you cant add sql as authentication. so I assume I did not add patch in correct fashion. if you can please comment on it. and I am greatful to you for this help.
