That is the id of the radius packet. EAP lives insided radius packet AVPs called EAP-Message. You can see the AVPs when you run tcpdump -vv. What is worth noting is that radius Access-Request carries EAP-Response from the client to the server and Access-Challenge carries EAP-Request from the server to the client. mk - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe?
