Ok then I must not have something correct yet.
When I run dfbfreerdp it seems to load  but only shows the default
directfb mouse cursor (I have attached a screenshot of this image)
when I move the mouse the directfb cursor moves.  However the actual
RDP client never shows on the screen and after a couple of minutes the
program terminates and dumps the following lines:

Does this mean anything to you or do I need to get an strace or enable
some debug mode and get more info?
Also below is the initial data that is dumped.  What does "ui_error:
ERROR: getaddrinfo: Name or service not known" mean? The interesting
thing is xfreerdp works perfect on the same target system.
