Hi,
the instructions were written by me, after a lot of help by others from the list. I am building on 64 bit Win7 and I do not see this problem. Alas, I do not have an XP development system at hand, so I cannot reproduce it. From my reading of MSDN, i suspect you might be able to replace the calls for inet_ntop with the older inet_ntoa, which however only works for ipv4. Hope this helps Norbert ---------------------------------------------- ECOS Technology GmbH Sant-Ambrogio-Ring 31 D-55276 Oppenheim www.ecos.de Anbieterkennung: www.ecos.de/impressum.html ---------------------------------------------- -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- An:Freerdp-devel <freerdp-devel@lists.sourceforge.net>; Von:Lk Rashinkar <lk.rashin...@gmail.com> Gesendet:Di 21.08.2012 07:03 Betreff:[Freerdp-devel] building FreeRDP on windows XP Hi, I've just finished building FreeRDP on a 32bit Win XP system using VS C++ 2010. I followed instructions found here: https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/wiki/Build-on-Windows-with-Visual-C---2010 When I try to run wfreerdp, I get the following error: The procedure entry point inet_ntop could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.dll According to MSDN, the function inet_ntop() is only available on Vista and later. Has anyone successfully built and run freerdp on XP? thanks L.K ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
