Hi,

the instructions were written by me, after a lot of help by others from the
list. I am building on 64 bit Win7 and I do not see this problem. Alas, I do
not have an XP development system at hand, so I cannot reproduce it. From my
reading of MSDN, i suspect you might be able to replace the calls for inet_ntop
with the older inet_ntoa, which however only works for ipv4.

Hope this helps

Norbert

Betreff:[Freerdp-devel] building FreeRDP on windows XP
Hi,

I've just finished building FreeRDP on a 32bit Win XP system using VS
C++ 2010. I followed instructions found here:

https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/wiki/Build-on-Windows-with-Visual-C---2010

When I try to run wfreerdp, I get the following error:

The procedure entry point inet_ntop could not be located in the
dynamic link library WS2_32.dll

According to MSDN, the function inet_ntop() is only available on Vista
and later.

Has anyone successfully built and run freerdp on XP?

thanks
L.K
