What's prompted the change from Xfce4? I was so impressed by it that I switched to it as my primary desktop environment. My somewhat limited experience with old versions of Enlightenment (0.15) was that it was very slow on old machines, and you could pretty much get the same effect by wrapping tinsel around your mouse. (Actually, it was really nice, but I wasn't in the market for sliding virutal desktops.) > The 'light' wm we could use is waimea because it's new, it's very minimal > and it uses cairo libs and gtk2. This sounds quite promising. Fluxbox is functional but not fantastic (don't flame me, people, I used it for about a year and a half).
