I assume this is in 1.0.0. Could you try out trunk?

thanks Mike,

it looks like zaptel-1.4.11 is ok, however on dialing out on tdm400p fxo channels i see :-

2008-06-02 15:07:31 [WARNING] zap_analog.c:52 analog_fxo_outgoing_call() VETO Changing state on 1:1 from DOWN to DIALING

the call nevers happens, i assume because i havent adjusted the tones in openzap/tones.conf for australian pstn, but i dont understand what the VETO warning is...

OpenZAP is giving me grief too.

I'm on the verge of shifting all my asterisk stuff to freeswitch, but i need my TDM400P to work.

does anyone know :-

* which openzap should be used? the one bundled with fs 1.0, or the one in trunk?

It builds automatically when you build mod_openzap. Just uncomment the module in your modules.conf in your source.

* is it dependant on a particular version of zaptel. Im using the latest, but the wiki refers to 1.4.2

We have tested it with 1.4.2. I t should work with other versions as long as they are not changing the interface in a non backwards compatible way, which i doubt has been done. It will almost definitely need a new interface to handle the new dahdi that will be replacing zaptel.

There should be enough info for you to get it setup at:

Those errors would indicate that the openzap configuration is not in
place. There are some example configurations on the wiki at
