You're nearly there -- that will work fine if you frequency-shift the captured audio up by 300 Hz first, so the centre is at 1500 Hz as fdmdv_demod expects. You can do this, for example, using ecasound and the bodeShifter LADSPA plugin (from swh-plugins): ecasound \ -i:fldigi-codec2-capture.wav \ -el:bodeShifter,300.0 -chorder:2 \ -f:s16_le,1,8000 -o:fldigi-codec2-shifted.wav Or string the whole lot together: ecasound \ -i:fldigi-codec2-capture.wav \ -el:bodeShifter,300.0 -chorder:2 \ -f:s16_le,1,8000 -o:stdout \ | fdmdv_demod - - \ | c2dec 1400 - - \ | ecasound -f:s16_le,1,8000 -i:stdin -o:alsa It's a bit garbled in places, but it's possible to make out that it's K0PFX chatting with another FreeDV user about modem settings. His site mentions that he's interested in Codec2: http://www.melwhitten.com/ Looking forward to having a play with FreeDV in the new year, -- Adam Sampson <[email protected]> <http://offog.org/> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LogMeIn Rescue: Anywhere, Anytime Remote support for IT.
