As Bruce mentioned, gcc/mingw is where the effort is being put right now.
That being said, you can try a cmake build with MSVC and if it can be
supported with relatively minor changes to the cmake configuration I don't
mind adding it, I just don't have access to full MSVC and Express doesn't
cut it so I'll need you to be the guinea pig here.
