I didn't mean to suggest that we should promote Codelite's (or any other)
build system.
I had seen a number of questions about support for the MSVC++ IDE, and you
mentioned CodeBlocks. I just wanted to make mention of a free IDE
environment known to work well with the tools we are using.
I feel strongly that the Cmake build path, done carefully, will produce the
best results for the large majority of the FreeDV audience. I do think
that a clear page with explicit instructions for retrieving the code and
executing the build process is critical for each supported platform.

Interesting, I downloaded and installed it. Looks quite similar to
CodeBlocks to some degree. Unfortunately cmake doesn't currently have a
offical generator for Codelite, although there has been some progress on
that front. I guess I can try your codelite project, but in a sense, that's
the same as keeping both the autotools and cmake builds around. For
consistency in the build, shouldn't one configure system be used?
