Thanks for the explanation, that was really all I was looking for. When you
do have time I think you'll really like the flexibility it gives you,
because of the out-source-build you can create as many directories as you
want and experiment with different build options independently, no make
clean or anything. When you're done or need to start over just rm -rf the
build directory.
I have tested my build of 0.96.1 successfully (actual QSO) but ever since
the libctb stuff was stripped out and then put back in I have not been able
to get my serial PTT working properly. Unfortunately since my interface box
is home built and includes a DPDT relay for switching audio (my old Ten-Tec
only has one mic input) I don't have any manual workaround for the problem.
I'm going to rebuild everything from a fresh svn checkout but I don't think
that's the problem...
