Hello David

I have downloaded the branch 0.4 from your SVN and could easily build
all things. The tests also run nicely.

Now, I would like to implement the new 700-mode: A year ago, I
implemented the 1600-mode directely into my SDR code using your shared
library and made quite some qso with it. Since hpsdr is using 48kS/s, I
have downsampled to the 8kS/s used with the codec2. (and upsampled when
in RX).

Now, for the 700 mode, I have to make the rate conversion from 48000 to
7500 and back. I have looked into the resample-1.8.1. To use this
filebased code in a continuous buffer mode, seems to need quite some
adaptations. (It does not yet look to me as my friend, hi).

It seems to me, that in the freeDV-code there must be also such a rate
conversion. Probably, there is some code there, which can easily be
adapted to the needs for buffer modes.

Can you recommend something, or do I have to use the resample-1.8.1?

If necessary, I will try to recode the resample-1.8.1, so that finally
one could add it to the freeDV interface, so that all kinds of
resamplings can be used in shared libraries (just by specifying the
input/output sampling rates).

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Alfred, hb9epu
