Hi all, I'm still recovering from lightning damage, 23/3/19, anyway...
Having a Codec2 repeater on HF is one thing but having an appliance (small box, goes between speaker and mic to SSB transceiver) might get some activity out there. FDVCore: Copyright (C) 2018 by Matt Roberts, KK5JY * All rights reserved 1) I've modified it to use a stereo sound device to use channels; (Left) for receive and (Right) for transmit. 2) I've added the Tx text string as a command line option. 3) PTT input, I'm in the process of adding an RS232 port to use either DSR or CTS to sense the PTT signal. So, hardware needed: Raspberry Pi (with two USB ports) Creative Sound Blaster Play! 3 PL2303 or FTDI USB serial port ----------- Reasons for USB peripherals, can run on any Linux box, PC or Pi. No reliance on GPIO for PTT sensing. I'm not good at this C++, as it was Fortran I learnt at uni in 1972. But I'm getting there. Any thoughts?
