Hi Gerhard,

From: https://elinux.org/Jetson_Nano

With: quad-core ARM A57 64-bit CPU

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_Cortex-A57

DSP and NEON SIMD extensions are mandatory per core.

So, yes, it has a good chance. We have to optimize the code.

David, in his attempts, was probably not using the latest hardware:

New hardware is coming out all the time.

Check the performances of the Pi 3 here:

https://www.hardkernel.com/blog-2/odroid-n2/

The Odroid N1 (obsolete) uses the RockChip RK3399 as on the PINE64 board
RockPro64.

But, we need some "super guru" programmers to optimize the code.

My immediate thought was, split the "decode" part of the FreeDV app across
perhaps

four cores of six, since they all have NEON execution units.

I have the RockPro64 to "play" with.

And, it survived the lightning strike that wiped out a Banana Pi and a Banana
Pi M2 Berry.

(and, FT-450D, FT-897D, IC-910H (fixed), three PCs, ADSL router, TV set-top box)

Luckily, no data loss, disks in "main" and "backup" survived.
