Evening list,

I've spent the past couple of nights trying to get set of interface leads built
for the SM1000 to talk with both a FT-817 and a QMAC HF-90. Tonight I finally
got to the point of powering things up with only limited success. The HF-90
SPKR out was heard ok in ANA mode on the SM1000 but PTT failed to trigger on
both the HF90 and 817 (after removing CN12 P16->P4).

I'm guessing its something dreadfully simple like PTT GND is actually needed
but I based this first pass on the
https://github.com/drowe67/codec2/blob/master/stm32/doc/sm1000_manual.md
diagram and couldn't see the point of CN12 P12 and P13 being shorted on both
sides.

Anyway - I've uploaded my wiring diagrams
https://www.cycloptivity.net/images/sm1000/wiring-diagram.jpg and patch
https://www.cycloptivity.net/images/sm1000/wiring.jpg
If you can spot where I've gone wrong I would be very grateful! For the Yeasu
in the long run I plan to get another mic lead and just cut the extra SPKR wire
to keep the radios happy. For now I've been adding and removing the jumper.

I'm aiming to take this gear with me to ZL when I visit next weekend so I'm
feeling the time pressure! I figured it would be a good excuse to try some
trans-tasman contacts again :)

Many thanks and 73

Sam
