You might want to get a 404 error page up with navigation options for your
customers as all the pages that are indexed from your old site will still
bring in traffic. Google has your old pages listed. Nothing pops up when
you follow the link back to your site.

I mailed this off list. Hope you don't mind. I could go on but don't want
to boar you with something you probably already know ;)

The SID shouldn't normally appear unless cookie's are turned off. Regardless
I doubt that the spiders know "/sid/JIlJilfahgaui" is present. My
understanding is that SE spiders don't like .php or other backend type
extensions and query strings,
http://www.domain.com/index.html/foo/bar/sid/jkIUjldkja/SCN/welcome is
therefore still friendly.

We just launched www.ally.com using this method. I'm tracking sid's but
again you won't see them unless cookie's are off.

The log reports at www.ally.com have shown that spiders are indeed visiting,
though I'm unaware as to how far they've indexed.
