#define TT_CONFIG_OPTION_SUBPIXEL_HINTING 40
meaning that if the value is set to 40 use new algorithm, otherwise
use Infinality.

I'll happily implement that, no problem, but I thought you wanted both
algorithms switchable at runtime? I guess you can still build FT two
times and use LD_PRELOAD if you really want to compare.
