This is one of the reasons I think we need to fix our numbering. A change like this one, or the new skin engine should be at least a minor number update, because it is an incompatible change. The numbering system can reflect both development and also major changes. I'm happy we're being conservative about numbers, I always hate when major version numbers jump twice a year, but we need to reflect what's actually happening, and I'm not sure we are. I mean, 1.0 didn't use SDL, 1.3 has a completely overhauled skin engine and 1.3.2 will have a new recording server.
